1.
Eyes locked on the road ahead Camouflaged in a sea of red I know you will be worth the drive Hands tied to the steering Slim to none I’ll make it out of here I know you will be worth the drive Let’s meet in the middle Time is a luxury we can’t afford to loose Let’s meet in the middle I’m running on empty and I’ll never make it on fumes These streets never had appeal These dotted lines have me standing still I know you will be worth the drive Even if we couldn’t compromise I would make the trip a thousand times Cause I know you would be worth the drive I hope you know I’d do it all again I hope you know I’d do it all over again
2.
The morning brings promise The day seems to steal it back The evening looks bitter A duel with my regrets Are you what I’m breathing in? Is this the gap that I need bridged? Are you failing heart of mine, or is this part of your design? Before I close my eyes, before this grey turns this black to white. Take these words what’s left in me. I don’t want any room to breathe My life on repeat I’ve called myself to war With love in a whisper You calm my rampant heart Permeate the very fabric that you’ve weaved Occupy these lungs more than the air I breathe
3.
Venom 03:19
I’m surprised by the casual use of words And disregard for the hearts of those who hurt The mouth is a quiver for your arrows Slow to concern, quick to draw the bow When words are like venom dripping from your tongue The best of intentions are never the outcome Stifle the poison, consider the timing Words bring death to the living or life to the dying Fire starts with the friction of a word A tiny spark can ignite a forest to burn The tongue is a flame that cannot be tamed Consuming the lives of those in the way Life or death, is on your lips, carry on
4.
Still my heart, Chaos is waiting, a thief outside my door Still my heart, Whatever the outcome your purpose is secure Still my heart, The weather is aiming to overwhelm these walls Still my heart, Despite the resistance your structure will endure Even when I start to bend High above you are the architect Author of the framework I am living in Breathing in my every circumstance Giving me (exactly) what I need I will never know the height or depth of the architects design. I have overcome because of love in the architects design.
5.
Seasons 05:33
At times it feels like it hasn’t rained for days and days I begin to wither Overwhelmed I wish to concede, accepting defeat I can hear you whisper Hold on for only a season The air may grow colder but the harvest is at hand Hold on for only a season The colors are changing but its all part of the plan Spending time working the field with nothing to yield Except skin that blisters Maybe this is where I should be, developing I can hear you whisper Seasons come and go but the purpose stays the same A time that’s meant for growth for the harvest that remains The old will be renewed in the light of what I’ve done Hold to what is true and the hope of what’s to come

about

This is my first solo acoustic EP. I wrote, recorded, and produced everything that you are listening to. All of these songs represent a different season that I've walked through and I feel fortunate to be able to share them with you!
